Greetings Confirmation Families,

It's Monday! Time for OUR LAST virtual Confirmation Class! Believe it or not, tonight would have been our end of the year Confirmation ice cream party! *Instead, that will take place in September. For my 8th graders, you will have your own party, dinner and celebration for your Rite of Confirmation in the fall as well. We tentatively put the Rite of Confirmation date on the calendar for Sunday, November 1st so please save the date.

Just a reminder: If your child is behind on assignments, please have them catch up. If you want to know if they have missing assignments or are all caught up, please feel free to email me. Remember, this worksheet is due to me by SUNDAY of next week.

*ALL 8 ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE COMPLETE IN ORDER FOR YOUR CHILD TO GET CONFIRMED OR MOVE UP A GRADE LEVEL. 

*We obviously had to forgo our point system this year so don't worry about that. However, if our state becomes better in the summer, look for an email and text updates about VBS and any summer youth events. It would be great to see you and your child! I miss all of you like crazy. I feel like it's been extra long because I was out on maternity leave.

*Continue having your child do sermon reports while they are online and easy to access. You can do them in the summer too!

*Look for an end of the year special gift for your child coming soon!

I miss you and your children so much. I can't believe we have to end our Confirmation year this way. Come September, we will celebrate the Rite of Confirmation with our 8th graders and have a beautiful dinner/party for them. At the start of next year's Confirmation class, we will have a welcome back party as well. You are all in my prayers and I hope to see you in the summer! God bless!

Your children did a great job on the first interactive worksheet for our online Confirmation class from last week. **Please note, this worksheet is due to me by SUNDAY of this week. I changed the day just to give your child more time, as many schools have just started this week with online learning.  You can fill it out in Microsoft word and email it to me. You can print it out, write on it, take a picture and text it to me. Whatever works best for you and your child. All the links included my video message is all on the worksheet.

Due to the cancellation of Confirmation class tonight, I wanted to send over an interactive worksheet that I want your child to complete. Tonight we were starting our new unit on "Hot Topics." Because I don't know how long this is going to last, I wanted to be proactive and still have a "class." I have attached to this email an interactive worksheet that includes writing down their highs and lows, reflecting on Bible readings, listening to a song on Youtube, viewing a video message I made about the lesson, answering multiple choice questions, and ending in prayer. This is basically the format of our Confirmation class so I just adapted it to be virtual.

This worksheet is due to me by Friday of this week. You can fill it out in Microsoft word and email it to me. You can print it out, write on it, take a picture and text it to me. Whatever works best for you and your child. I will continue to send an interactive worksheet on Monday to be completed by Friday until we can meet again.

*All Jr. high events and acolyting responsibilities are postponed until further notice. I will figure out the point system once we return.

*Pastor Tom is moving to live streaming worship starting Sunday which will be uploaded to Youtube. I have attached a blank sermon report for students to complete after listening to the sermon.
